I don't see our neighborhoods getting any better, why? Crime is getting worse and houses are falling down along with piles of trash lining the alleys/streets. I thought with all the changes in the departments things were to get better. When?
Ian, I for one do not see crime getting worse or piles of trash lining the streets. I thank the council and Chief Bladel for the fine job they are doing. Yes, incidents pop up but we are no where near the dangerous city as some would have us believe.
I think the fire department is doing a wonderful job taking over the inspections. The public works department is doing an excellant job picking up the trash and just this past week with the plowing and salting. Davenport is a great city and I am very proud to say I live here.
Avril Hoffman
Come down to my area Avril, but bring a bullet proof vest. That would be 12th and Pershing.
Another shooting in Davenport, this one point blank with a 357 mag with witnesses on 4th Street. Maybe Avril Hoffman needs to take off those rosey sunglasses and watch the news.
Ian, Thanks for your support and showing at the DAI/Rental Housing meetings. Its good to see that you are interested in see through this fiasco of a transition. Will you please inform Hammerlinck that he WAS missed and we have't forgot who started this mess.
CRIME CRIME CRIME CRIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Avril - I want to live in your world.
Ian, I know that budget time is upon us and it would be easy to pass the budget without too much effort. But please support the fire department with what ever assistance and additional support that they need to help ride the city of the problem rentals.
Thanks you for your efforts.
